About Nilesh Tiwari
Building voices the classical way, one note at a time.
Nilesh Tiwari is a seasoned Hindustani classical vocalist and music teacher with over 20 years of teaching experience. A winner of the All India Radio Music Competition, he is trained in Hindustani classical vocal music from basic to advanced levels, with a strong focus on riyaz techniques, bandish, voice culture, sur, and taal. His teaching also extends to semi classical forms including bhajans, thumri, dadra, and ghazals, where he emphasises pronunciation, emotional expression, and lyrical depth.
To support vocal training, he also offers basic harmonium and keyboard guidance for shruti matching and accompaniment. Known for his simple and step by step teaching style, he works with children, adults, and beginners with equal patience and care, balancing discipline with enjoyment. Currently working as a school music teacher, he is passionate about building strong musical foundations and nurturing a lifelong connection to Indian music. Through Khidhki, he now brings his teaching to learners across the world.
